This is the Hasegawa
Bf-109E4 kit that was released in the late 1980s. The model depicts
"Pips" Priller's Bf-109E3 depicted on a muddy Belgian airfield during the
Battle of Britain. It was slightly modified to back-date it to an E3
variant. Luftwaffe eagle is resin casting of the eagle worn on my
uncle's hat during WW-II. This was my first attempt at making a
muddy scene (back in the spring of 1996) and in retrospect, it could have
been much better that it was. Also, the flash sort of overpowered
the "water" in the muddy tire tracks and made them look much more stark
than they actually are.
