Misc bush pictures 3

The CH-46 taking us to the bush is passing over a small hamlet along the shore of the river out in Quang Nam.  The fuzzy dark object in the lower right is the barrel of Crew Chief's .50cal machine-gun.

Nothing spectacular here; just the rays of sun shooting out from behind a cloud in the late afternoon sky above the ground fog.  I don't remember where this was taken but it's pretty clear it was during the winter season when the valleys were often shrouded in thick fog.

This picture is very dark since it was taken in the early evening after coming in from the field.  It's an NVA AK-47 that was taken from an enemy soldier that we killed in a firefight.

This is me sitting next to the scout dog and his handler out in Happy Valley with 12ga shotgun.  At this time, I had taken to wearing a South Vietnamese black beret with a standard Marine Eagle-Globe-Anchor insignia from my barracks cover on the side and a Vietnamese Marine shield on the front.  I'm also carrying a Claymore mine bag across my chest.

This is me bleeding.  Doc has my right leg bared in this shot and is working on the worst of the bleeders.  The left leg wasn't bleeding all that badly but the bottom of my left trouser leg and the canvas part of my boot are soaked with blood anyway.

Another shot.  Doc is behind me.  This slide is also deteriorating and has picked up considerable surface hazing.
