This sequence of three pictures below were taken by me with my little Instamatic camera on Hill 425.  In the first one, the CH-46 has settled on a finger of the ridge to pick up the first half of the recon team.  

Here, the UH-1 gunship above us has spotted an enemy position and is beginning a rocket and machine-gun firing pass on it

Here the CH-46 is lifting off with the first half of the recon team under the protection of the gunship.

In this picture, obviously taken on the run, the second half of the team is boarding the second CH-46.  This bird landed further up the finger, nearer our position so we would not have to run as far to get aboard.
